New Newsletter Name: Suggestions Due 10/01

We are looking for a new CA-NV SWCS Newsletter name! For quite some time, our quarterly newsletter has been named “Runoff”. It has been suggested that we should freshen up that name. We need your help to do this.

We are looking for suggestions that are be no more than three words and reflect or be derived from the soil and water resources or their associated processes that our Chapter seeks to enhance.

Suggestions may be made by Chapter members and non-members alike. The winning name will be selected by a vote at the Annual Conference on October 19. Click here to suggest a new name.

Annual Conference: Registration Due 10/05

We are finishing up the details of our Annual Conference. This year’s theme is Soil Health in Northern California: Restoring Function in Agricultural and Wildland Settings. We invite anyone with an interest in soils and agriculture in California to join us as we learn about what makes a healthy soil, how soils affect California’s wine country, and how to recover soil function after fire. Registration for both days of the conference is only $200 and includes lunch both days. Complete your registration here.
