We appreciate our National SWCS Organization for holding annual conferences and recognizing our efforts as a Chapter to continue our mission: Connect, grow, and support a community of individuals and organizations in California and Nevada with a passion for conservation of soil and water resources.
During the conference in August 2022, we were able to volunteer as moderators for a series of oral presentations- 12 in total. The topics ranged from “Assessing Land Health with State and Transition Models,” to “Performance-Based Payments for Conservation Adoption.” There were many more presentations with great topics and unfortunately we couldn’t hear them all.
Meeting our National members who organize and create all the magic was a great and long-awaited experience as well. We appreciate their hard work and efforts to keep such a worthwhile and rewarding organization running full steam.
I challenge each of our Chapter members, and members to-be to get involved and ask how to help us keep the momentum going- Here’s to an amazing 2023!!
